Loveless 02:30
"One more drink" he said "before I leave this place" As the taste hits his tongue he tries to control his face He stumbles out the door and checks the time It's been five months straight with Alice on his mind "But to be alone is to be strong" He says as he's curled over the toilet bowl at home His heart hasn't touched love for so damn long So he decides to write a broken song with a broken tone About being Loveless Loveless Loveless Because he can't have Alice again The sun peers through and intrudes his eyelids He's not ready for the day so he starts autopilot He goes to work and sees Joan who smiles She says "maybe meet me at my place in a little while" And he thinks because why not But deep down he knows it's not really what he really wants He goes and dislikes what she's got And he says keep going but he wishes she would stop "But to be alone is to be strong" He says as he's curled over the toilet bowl at home His heart hasn't touched love for so damn long So he decides to write a broken song with a broken tone About being Loveless Loveless Loveless Because he can't have Alice again

Another Day 02:32
My red eyes they hurt I'm hung over again I can't remember much But I think I lost my only friend Yea it's just another day in my head I don't know if I'm ever gonna make it outta my bed Yea, no I think I might just stay 'Cause I don't really wanna take on the day My cheeks still sting She slapped me in face I don't remember much But I think I made a big mistake And it's just another day in my head I don't know if I'm ever gonna make it outta my bed Yea, no I think I might just stay 'Cause I don't really wanna take on the day

I saw a play today A social commentary about how we live our lives But the only thing that it got right Was when the main character dies I saw the news today To see how the world is goin' to shit But I ate my cereal and thought about it It's always been doin' this So I get out of bed If only for my morning coffee Or the episode of Seinfeld on at ten 'Cause most of my days are inconsequential Or at least I perceive them to be And the instagram feed shows lives that don't exist Yet have authority over my fragile happiness Because we're all shown pictures of who we're supposed to be Without regard to our own true beauty So I get into bed today To end a day I'll probably forget I lived anyway 'Cause when I'm finally layin' in my grave Both my best and worst days will be erased away So I get out of bed If only for my morning coffee Or the episode of Seinfeld on at ten 'Cause most of my days are inconsequential Or at least I perceive them to be Which is not very beneficial Especially to the small optimist in me

She's got glow in the dark stars That hang above her bed And she pretends she's lyin' On the moon instead But she knows Yea she knows It's all her head She gets her daily fix on the street of crime The bags grow under her teary eyes As she spends her last dime 'Cause she knows Yea she knows She's running out of time He's got tailored suits That he never wears And a gentle heart But no one seems to care But he knows Yea he knows There's someone out there somewhere His bed is two sizes two big It's always cold He prays at night For someone he can hold 'Cause he knows Yea he knows His hopes will get old Her nails are chipped from nervously picking His knees are scraped from always tripping On love She can't sleep nights 'cause she's top busy thinking His days are dark 'cause his soul is sinking From love They're both in need for some love

Pillow-less sleep under restless stars A mind undone by a traitors heart A battleground of wits and games Blurred lines of losses and gains Mistakes I'm no stranger to Inherently destined to be a fool The heart stronger than common sense Forever stuck in the past not the present tense Memories they'll all remain Romanticized and glorified Completed but constantly replayed My pride both proud and mortified All the same The spaces in my fingers is very vast For opportunities slip, slip right past The longing for a sense of connection The desire for hope and redemption I'm a victim to a fools life Incapable of doing what is right Lost in a boundless void No light, no form, no sense, no noise Memories they'll all remain Romanticized and glorified Completed but constantly replayed My pride both proud and mortified All the same Lost lost with the horizon on all sides Floating with no sail amongst the waves of life The heartbreak of love and confusion of living Inconsequential existence of taking and giving Memories they'll all remain Romanticized and glorified Completed but constantly replayed My pride both proud and mortified All the same

He's afraid of the constant arrival of daylight And the awkward situations of everyday life He sweats when he's asked a question After the first few hundred times he learned his lesson And he says the world is scary Just like the trek it takes to get beyond a pretty woman's blouse So he stays locked inside his old decrepit house And he has a broken kitchen sink that he needs take apart But he's afraid he'll break it more so he's afraid to even start His toilet won't flush so he never seems to go He never has guests so he watches the dust grow And he says his house is scary It's where his wife and kids would play but now it represents gloom So he stays locked inside his house inside his lonely bedroom And he says he locks his door at all times just to be safe But he knows death will find you no matter the time or place And he keeps the light on to control the time of day He can't decide where to go so he decides just to stay But he says his room is scary His memories still haunt him all of the time So he stays locked inside his mind, inside his room, inside his house But he says his mind is scary From all the things that it carries And it carries him away And it carries him away And it carries him away And it carries him away

Montana 03:30
There's gonna be a solar eclipse somewhere out west You can see it in the east but they said out there it's best I thought about telling you cuz I know Montana was always in your dreams But I don't really want you going unless your going to go with me So I'll just keep it to myself I saw a mom in the park, with a stroller, watching her kids play From behind I swore it was you, I felt my heart fly away For it was then that I saw what it would look like if I had my kids with you You were never sure about having kids but I'm sure of the great job you'll do Even if it's with someone else They say I'll move on one day and find somebody new But they say you never forget your first, turns out that was you So if this song ever gets made and it reaches your ears Just know I've been thinking of you all through the years Until then you won't know how I felt So I'll just keep it to myself There's gonna be a solar eclipse somewhere out west You can see it in the east but they said out there it's best
